1. How can I deliver I-DEP® Internet Depositions to my clients?
Become certified as an I-DEP deposition provider, and you are ready to go! An I-DEP-provided Field Kit or Broadcast Station is all you need at the deposition site, along with your real-time equipment. To become certified, call 1-800-498-IDEP.

2. How does a court reporter become an I-DEP Internet Deposition Provider?
I-DEP certifies court reporters to set up, run and maintain the Field Kit or Broadcast Station, or you can have a member of your firm become a certified instructor. Training is available remotely or at I-DEP HQ. I-DEP provides easy-to-use reference manuals. For more information, contact us at 1-800-498-IDEP.

3. What is the I-DEP Field Kit?
The I-DEP Field Kit is the first portable encoding system of its kind that is used to record and store full video, two way audio, and real-time transcript of the deposition as it takes place. The kit contains a laptop computer with attached cables and accessories designed for quick setup, and is user-friendly. The entire I-DEP Field Kit fits into a case smaller than a standard carry-on bag. Click here to view the I-DEP Field Kit case.

4. How does the I-DEP Field Kit get to the Deposition Site?
The Field Kit will be shipped to the court reporting firm providing the I-DEP service to the clients. The court reporting firm is responsible for taking the Field Kit to the deposition site, where a trained court reporter will set it up.

5. What is the I-DEP DepStation™?
The I-DEP DepStation is a desktop computer that does everything the I-DEP Field Kit does -- plus, it has additional capabilities, such as the ability to easily record digitally, burn DVD-ROMS or CDs on site and simultaneously broadcast depositions or other events over the Internet. Also, your cash flow will benefit from the ability to provide a neutral location site for the many last minute depositions generated by the I-DEP sales team. The I-DEP DepStation can be purchased for a minimal investment of $3,999. Your purchase includes all required technical support for the DepStation setup and future deposition delivery. For more information, please contact Anna Engstrom, Manager, Court Reporter Firm Relations.

6. Does the deposition have to be at a special site?
I-DEP depositions can occur anywhere that there is:
* A static IP address.
* At least 256K upload speed.
* An extension cord that reaches the center of the table, and accommodates three plugs.
* A network cable that reaches the center of the table.

7. Who ensures the deposition site is I-DEP ready?
Once the deposition has been scheduled, an I-DEP customer service representative will contact the Network Engineer or Systems Administrator at the deposition site to verify that the site is I-DEP ready.

8. What if offsite participants need assistance?
I-DEP Client Support will work with offsite participants to log them into the deposition. Each participant is required to go through a "Test Your Computer" exercise to ensure their PC is I-DEP ready when they register as an I-DEP user.

9. How do offsite participants get access to the deposition?
Anyone who is authorized to attend a deposition must first be registered with I-DEP and have a user ID and passcode. To register, simply go to the web site at www.i-dep.com and click on "Become a Member." To attend a deposition once you are registered, obtain the deposition passcode supplied by the scheduler of the deposition and log on by selecting "Attend an I-DEP" on our home page. www.i-dep.com

10. How is a deposition scheduled with I-DEP?
Anyone who is authorized to attend a deposition must first be registered with I-DEP and have a user ID and passcode. To register, visit our home page www.i-dep.com and following the simple instructions, or by calling an I-DEP sales representative at 1-800-498-IDEP.

11. What do I do when the deposition is complete?
When the deposition is complete, the court reporter usually returns the Field Kit to I-DEP, where transcript and video are archived on I-DEP's secure, passcode-protected servers. In some cases, court reporters may wish to upload these files to I-DEP from the deposition site; contact I-DEP's Technical Department for assistance.

12. Is support available during the deposition if there are problems?
A troubleshooting guide is included in the Field Kit. You can also contact I-DEP at 1-800-498-IDEP.
